Dead or Alive 6: Last Round Reveals Tokyo High School Student Character Minato in Debut Trailer (translated)
Player agency: how policy constrains it, how the industry shapes it, how narrative design realizes it.
Koei Tecmo Games has released a debut trailer for Minato, a new character in Dead or Alive 6: Last Round. Minato appears as a Tokyo student and dance competition champion, and becomes caught up in an incident after taking a part-time job helping the scientist Nicole; her character background first sketches the contrast between everyday student life and the fighting stage, while her lasting appeal will still depend on her actual combat performance and how she is obtained.

Sakigarasu's Take
The new character offers a new way to play and watch, but how much choice she really adds will depend on her performance in matches and how she is obtained. If her appeal remains limited to the setup shown in the trailer, players will get a brief sense of novelty rather than an option they can use over the long term.
